Heat transfer oil is easy to be oxidized in the heating process. The acid value of the oil increases and the change rate is large at high temperature, and its kinematic viscosity gradually increases. This is due to the pyrolysis and thermal condensation reaction of the heat transfer oil components at high temperature. The results of pyrolysis reaction lead to the formation of small molecular compounds, which reduce its viscosity, while the thermal polycondensation reaction produces polymer products, which makes its viscosity increase. Small molecular compounds will volatilize in a small amount, which will increase the viscosity of oil products. When the service temperature is 350-400 ℃, it is easy to cause thermal cracking, and form carbon deposit on the inner wall of pipes and equipment, which will affect the heat transfer efficiency, accelerate the aging of conduction oil, and also make the furnace body and pipeline overheat locally, damage the mechanical strength and endanger personal safety.
The fouling of heat transfer oil in the pipeline reduces the flow area of the pipeline, increases the friction resistance, increases the transmission energy consumption, reduces the oil transportation capacity of the pipeline, and sometimes even causes accidents such as initial condensation and stop flow. In addition, the oil scale and coke scale produced by the heat transfer oil can increase the thermal resistance of the pipe wall, increase the energy consumption in the production process, shorten the life of the equipment, reduce the inner diameter of the equipment, increase the pressure drop of the material flow, reduce the yield and shorten the operation cycle, which seriously affects the production. Therefore, when the heat transfer oil reaches the scrapping standard, the heat transfer oil system should be replaced in time and the heat transfer oil system should be thoroughly cleaned to prolong the service life of the heater.
The cleaning methods of heat transfer oil are generally divided into chemical method and physical method. The chemical method is to use the appropriate chemical agent to make it react with the dirt and transform or peel off, so as to remove the dirt. Chemical cleaning agents used in chemical cleaning methods can be divided into inorganic cleaning agents and organic cleaning agents. The key of chemical cleaning method is to select the appropriate chemical agent according to the characteristics of the dirt. However, it is difficult to find the appropriate chemical agent to clean the dense graphitized carbon deposit due to its chemical stability. Physical cleaning is the cleaning without chemical agents, such as high-pressure water jet and mechanical cleaning of rotating cleaning head driven by rotating equipment. |
